LaTrac, Louisiana's spending transparency portal established by Gov. Bobby Jindal, was updated last week with contract data. The site now allows taxpayers to search by a variety of methods, including document type, description, agency, amount, date, vendor and department. What's more, the data set is available for download into excel. The addition of the new contract data, coupled with the download option, opens Louisiana up to more scrutiny by taxpayers. Check out the newly updated LaTrac!
