The following states have established Tax Me More Funds or similar structures that allow those who feel they are not paying enough in taxes to contribute to the state treasury.

Established in Dec. 2001 via Executive Order by then-Gov. Mike Huckabee

In his book, "From Hope to Higher Ground," Mr. Huckabee said that from 2001 to 2005, a total of 56 persons made contributions to the  fund, totaling $2,077. 

As of August 14, 2008, the last check made out to the Tax Me More Fund came in in January 2005.
KS Tax Me More Fund.
While not written in statute, contributions are still accepted . Established in 2002.
  Set up by Taxpayer Protection Caucus Chair Sen. Tim Huelskamp in the fight against then-Gov. Graves's tax hike proposal.

Voluntary Optional Tax Endowment (VOTE).

Established in 2000/2001.

Line 22 on the state income tax form allows taxpayers to decide which tax rate they want to pay: 5.3% or 5.85%  VOTE result of Citizens for Limited Taxation's (CLT) efforts as part of the voter-approved income tax reduction in 2000. 

Opponents of the tax cuts were deprived of their arguments by adding the voluntary contributions line on the tax form.

Created in 2003 by then-Gov. Craig Benson. SUSPENDED.

Taxpayers were able to send checks to Administrative Services made payable to the Tax Me More Account.
When we called Administrative Services, we were told that the Lynch administration had suspended the Tax Me More Account.
